- About product
Made by Taiwan-based Mininch, Tool Pen is, literally, a pop-a-point screwdriver. Just like its pencil counterpart, it comes with multiple bits stacked inside the hollow barrel. To get to a bit you want, simply pull out the bit in front and pop it in the back until the bit you need comes up. According to the designer, tool pen draws inspiration from the "Pop-A-Point" pen and pencil line from the 80s.
There are 16 bits available (18 in full edition) in various sizes any six of which you can install onto the barrel at any time, and come in slotted, Phillips, hexagon and star shapes. There's a ring in place to stop the bit popping out the back again when pressure is added. The side of the barrel includes a window, which let's you figure out where the required bit is, and there's also a magnet-secured lid to prevent stabbing yourself.
Made from aluminum (bits made of mille carbon steel), and available in silver, champagne, or gunmetal. It measures 5.9" long and 0.68" in diameter – so it's bigger than your average pen, but still fits in your pocket.
